  • EDINBURGH CASTLE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY

We started our 2023 of weddings with an absolutely beautiful wee wedding! Claire and Damian asked us to capture their day at Edinburgh Castle along with a few loved ones and it was such a joy to be a part of. We were over the moon to capture a wedding at Edinburgh Castle. It was wonderful photographing such an incredible building with so much history. Our year of weddings starting off on such a high with these two. Claire looked absolutely beautiful in her Pronovias dress from Kavelle Couture and her hair and make-up was done perfectly by Justine Weir and Eve Learmonth. Niki did their ceremony and as you can see from the photos, it was such a laugh! Everyone laughed and smiled throughout the entire thing and a highlight for us was when Niki asked everyone to write them personal notes of marriage advice and read them out. Watching them try to guess who wrote what was a lot of fun. Cant thank these guys enough for not only booking us for their day, but also being so kind and lovely to work with.

  • TIME TRAVEL THEMED ELOPEMENT AT GLENCORSE OLD KIRK

When Amanda and Zach first got in contact with us they explained that they wanted to travel from America to have their wedding day at Glencorse Old Kirk in Edinburgh and a vow renewal just a few days later in Glen Coe. Along with their close loved ones, these guys travelled to Scotland and planned a beautiful day in Edinburgh. From the first email we were hooked as Amanda and Zach explained they wanted to have a theme of time travel running through their wedding. Starting their Scotland wedding adventures at the Glencorse Old Kirk made for a perfect fit as this building is now made more famous for being in Outlander as the kirk where Claire and Jamie marry. We ventured into Edinburgh City Centre after and we got to show Amanda and Zach all of our favourite spots to take photos. Amanda knew she wanted to go to a bookshop so we headed to the most beautilful bookshop we could think of near the Grassmarket. We were so kindly allowed in to take some quick photos and we made sure to purchase a book as a thank you. A special shout out needs to go out to Edinburgh Classic Wedding Cars for being so patient and knowing the Edinburgh roads inside and out! We were made to feel so welcome by these two and their loved ones. We were sat with them at the Scotch Malt Whiskey Society and was treated to a three course meal. The whiskey pairing went down a treat with Tonie!

  • OUTDOOR WINTER WEDDING AT LOCH LOMOND

James and Matthew had their beautiful wedding at the Lodge on Loch Lomond. Even though it was December, these two braved the cold and had their ceremony outside to make full use of the beautiful view. The weather kept calm and made for a truly stunning ceremony. This wedding was so much fun and a highlight was the entertainment between the meal and dancing. Having a musical family meant there was multiple performers to keep everyone amused including Matthew himself! Their MOC was their wonderful friend Bella Houston and there was even songs written for the couple by some family. The tables were provided by Vintage Gathering, their outfits were by 21st Century Kilts and Scott Fraser and their ceremony was conducted by their friend Maggie Kinloch. Here are some of our favourite shots from their day.

  • A SUMMER WEDDING AT NEWHALL ESTATE

It was a total joy to be back at Newhall Estate again! We joined Alana + Adam and their close ones on a beautiful sunny day in May. The relaxed vibe from their morning carried on throughout the rest of the day which was lovely. Alana's dress matched the magical scenery in the gardens and can we all appreciate the falling petals over them?! It resulted in a very tired Tonie shaking trees but it was worth it! Save The Date Collective did a wonderful job on the florals and the arch at the ceremony looked incredible. We just loved captuing this day and here is a few of our favourites.

  • A WOODLAND AVIEMORE WEDDING

Aviemore has a very special place in our hearts and we were over the moon when Darryl + Niall asked us to capture their wedding there. They started and ended their day at the Cairngorms Hotel and had their ceremony at the beautiful Loch Garten. Darryl + Niall booked their wedding whilst living in London and did a fantastic job at keeping it personal and beautiful. The relaxed way they had their speeches was a really lovely way to do this part of the day and a personal highlight for us was the disco ball and confetti on the dance floor! Slinky did a great job at keeping the dance floor busy. Darryl's dress by Ghost was stunning and Niall's tartan trews were by Kinloch Anderson. Thanks for having us guys and here is a few of our favourites from their day.

  • LOWER LARGO COUPLE SHOOT ON THE BEACH

A perfect way to beat any apprehension about being in front of the camera is to book a couple shoot. These shoots are always very laid back, where we can go for a walk, have a chat and take some photos together. Emmie + Duncan met us at Lower Largo as this is where they got engaged so having some photos there was a really lovely link. It helped these guys calm their nerves and allowed them to have zero worries about the couple photo session on their wedding day. Here is some of our favourites!

  • AUTUMNAL MANOR HOME WEDDING AT DUN ALUINN

Laura and Stuart not only postponed their wedding day by a year but also changed their venue within this stressful time too. We have to say though, what a change! Dun Aluinn House in Aberfeldy. This was truly a beautiful venue to capture in and we loved the vibe and style so much. With a smaller wedding in a more intimate setting, Laura and Stuart had their wedding their way and we couldn’t be happier for them. The morning was calm and with everyone getting ready within the same house, we were able to capture both Laura and Stuart before the ceremony. With it being October, the weather was very unpredictable so the original plan to get married outside had to be scrapped. Instead, the guys chipped in with their efforts and set up the ceremony room in the front room of the house instead. Although this wasn’t what they had planned to begin with, it looked beautiful as they stood at the top of their aisle in window light. Laura’s bouquet and the florals that decorated the venue were by Wild Gorse. This is such a great example of how powerful flowers can be to a wedding day. From the display made for them at the top of the aisle to the flowers cascading up the stairway, we were obsessed. I feel like we could talk forever about this wedding and how incredibly lovely Laura and Stuart are. Not only that, they were so easy to capture and were up for jumping in our car and getting some photos in an even more rural setting we spotted 10 minutes away on our drive in. Later on, we caught a beautiful sunset with them and then used the skylight inside the venue too for some images. With all of this being so close, these photos took no time at all and allowed the couple to spend more time with their guests too. Win win! Here are a few select images from their day.

  • GOTHIC INSPIRED ORAN MOR WEDDING

THE ONE WITH A COUPLE OF GEEKS, SKULLS GALORE, AND A FULL DANCEFLOOR Jessica and Steven had their wedding at the cracking Oran Mor. We have a soft spot for this venue as it was where we shot our first ever wedding many moons ago. We were made to feel so welcome as soon as we arrived to prep in the morning. It was such a good crowd between the lovely guests and great suppliers. We loved all of the spooky and gothic references in this wedding. It was very up our street! Jessica walked down the aisle to Sally’s Song from Nightmare Before Christmas which was BEAUTIFUL. We should all take a moment to admire her crown too right?! For their couple photos, we ventured over to the botanic gardens and worked through the insane heat inside for the sake of art! They did so well and what definitely helped was doing an engagement shoot a few weeks prior. A highlight to this day was the dance floor. Everyone knew the assignment and filled it straight away. The music was amazing and The Man From Delmonte did a fantastic job.

  • DISCO FUN + FOOD TRUCK WEDDING AT COW SHED CRAIL

This wedding!! Holly + Adam successfully created the most fun filled and beautiful wedding day and we were the lucky buggers who got to capture it. The people, the decor, the food trucks. Swoon! We started the day at the Cow Shed cottages where Tonie went and captured the guys getting ready and Rachel went to the girls. It was lovely getting to see the excitement in the morning and watching beautiful moments unfold like Holly's dad seeing her as a bride for the first time. There was an incredible list of suppliers at this wedding. It is always great working with Jenny Ross MUA, Holly's stunning dress was by Eleganza Sposa, the food trucks that kept us all very happy and fed was Bonnie Events and Fallones Pizza and the pinata cake of dreams was by Ruby & Peal Cake Art. A huge thanks to these two for having us there and here is a few of our favourites from their day.

  • BOHEMIAN DREAM OF A WEDDING AT COMRIE CROFT

The One With The Mustard Outfits, Flower Crown Of Dreams, And a DIY Masterpiece Lauren and Leonie created an absolutely incredible wedding that we are still not over. The level of detail in this day was mind blowing and we feel so incredibly lucky we got to capture it all. Not only did the wedding look amazing but these two were so sweet and an absolute joy to photograph which stretched out to their kind and welcoming guests too. Claire Digance did a fantastic job of the ceremony making us all laugh and feel so connected to these two and their story. ”There was a second date and a third date and everyone knows what happens on third dates, right? *wink wink* Lauren arrived at Leonie's house, preemptively smooth and exceptionally moisturised, so oily that she slipslid along thefloor like Jabba the Hut's well-lubricated lesbian cousin. It is worth mentioning that by this point, Date#3, they'd not even held hands.” We also cant not mention how fantastic the florals were at this wedding. Tomnaha Flowers outdid theirselves with the arch display, table decor and those AMAZING flower crowns! Swoon! What a day ❤️ Cannot thank Lauren + Leonie enough. Here is a wee selection of our favourites.

  • A BEAUTIFUL SRI LANKAN + SCOTTISH WEDDING AT COMRIE CROFT

The One With The Scottish & Sri Lankan Celebration, DIY Wedding, And Incredible Food It was hard just picking a few favourites from Amy + Dom’s beautiful wedding to show you. There was so much for us to capture at this wedding. We were back at Comrie Croft which is a favourite of ours as it truly lets couples DIY their wedding to exactly how they want it. There is just something about everyone being on site in the morning and everyone pitching in to help finish setting up the ceremony and reception room. I love being a part of that excitement! Amy + Dom incorporated both Sri Lankan traditions and Scottish ones into their wedding. The food was an incredible Sri Lankan feast by Little Lanka and shortly after, Amy was helped into a Saree by Dom’s family. They then had a ceilidh which was a great way to fill the time between their meal ending and their first dance. It was truly lovely getting to capture this day!

  • BEAUTIFUL, QUIRKY ELOPEMENT ON THE WEST COAST

The One With The Incredible 60's House, Private Island, And Boat Ride This is an elopement that we will NEVER be over. We knew from the first email from Ellie + Dan that this was something special. Ellie + Dan came up from London to elope in the west coast of Scotland. They chose to do this at a friends family home which just so happened to be the on the friends private island as well. These two were complete and utter joys to capture. We got to take Wes Anderson inspired photos at the house, explore surrounding islands that only had sheep as residents, witness the most beautiful backdrop to a ceremony and drink champagne on an epic orange boat. We cant thank these two enough for having us there. Time is really precious on your wedding day and these guys chose to spend a lot of it was us and also took the time to cook and feed us before we headed off back to the mainland. What incredibly good eggs and i’m sure you can just feel it looking at them in these selected images from their day.
