OUTDOOR WINTER BEACH WEDDING AT FINDHORN BEACH

Updated: Feb 22, 2023

THE ONE WITH THE MATCHING DOG, YELLOW BEACH HUT, AND BARE FOOT DANCING

Findhorn Beach was the stunning northern setting for Camilla and Angus' wedding last November. The beach itself is one of the most visited in Scotland, with miles of pebbles and beautiful views. After having to postpone their wedding several times due to the pandemic, the pair settled on a November 5th wedding with a smaller guest list of 20 people, and use of the small privately-owned beach huts to sign their registrar. Of the row of multi-coloured huts, Camilla and Angus had the yellow one, which was so vibrant and looked amazing in photographs! The guests were all so wonderful and made us a part of the day. The couple looked beautiful, the bridesmaids wore lovely autumnal orange velvet dresses, and Percy – Camilla and Angus' miniature Daschund – wore a tiny bow tie and jacket in matching tartan with the groomsmen's trousers. SO CUTE! Once the pair had picked their spot on the beach, huge plant pots with incredible flowers marked the top of the aisle, which kept it minimalist but perfect. They were later used at the entrance to Kale Yard, where the reception was held. The quirky venue and surrounding gardens made for some brilliant photos. Due to restrictions, Kale Yard was not allowed to have any indoor music or dancing, but Camilla and Angus came prepared. They nipped outside to have their first dance, music playing on a portable speaker, Camilla in bare feet, and their guests watching on at the windows. We got to know this genuinely lovely couple quite well because of the interactions we had with them when trying to rearrange plans with them for their wedding, so it was such a wonderful feeling to watch them finally be able to marry after an awful year for everyone. We had previously had a couple's shoot with them at Findhorn Beach so they were both pros in front of the camera, and the views were just amazing. With it being Firework's night, everyone had sparklers, making for great photos. Camilla and Angus smiled the whole day despite the changes they had to make to be able to marry, and there was no doubt at all that they were filled with happiness regardless. Thank you so much to Camilla and Angus for having us! Our job is extra special when clients become friends. Check out a tiny good boy in a tiny bow tie below!
